This site is nothing short of a triumph and a tremendous resource for future generations. I have recently taken an interest in tracing my fathers ancestry, Peter Herbert George Deeks, RIN 4077, descendent of George Deeks (RIN 1851) and this site has allowed me to make huge progress that would've taken months without it. Thank you. Would be interested to hear from anyone connected to Deeks Family Group 7, Castle Hedingham, Mucking etc
While searching through some papers that belonged to my grandmother. I found some items that were returned to us from an auction house. These items were thought to belong to us but do not. I am looking to find the proper owner. I have a Social Security Card for Alma M. Ehrbar. When doing a google of the number, it brought me to a site that is linked to this one. Please reply if this person has any relevance.
Extremely helpful. I am researching my own Deeks ancestry and I will forward info when complete
Will show you around when you visit Cape Town!...Mike & Barbara
Greetings from your former colony!! Anna Gabel(Giebel), wife of Jonathon Hatt Deex, was the sister of my great grandmother Theresa Kramer(nee Giebel). All are buried here in Cleveland.
GREAT website!
Thanks,
Les.
Wonderful work Duncan and very much appreciated. Many many heartfelt thanks.
I am looking to learn more about the Deeks who lived/live in Tamworth.
Wow this Great I have lot of information already but not the fine detail you have on your site, thank you for this it will save me a lot of time,If there are any Deeks related to George Deeks 1750 & Sarha Finch 1755 please get in touch.
Regards
Lawrence Deeks
Alice Ellen Deeks 1865 - 1843 was my Great Grandmother. Nice to see a site dedicated to her family. Often as not people, like me, tracing their family history concentrate of the paternal side, it was nice to find out about the maternal side.
Duncan, you deserve a mountain of praise and thanks from Deekses (and others) all over the world for your extensive and painstaking work on this genealogy. The Internet may have made this kind of effort easier and more pervasive, but it still takes someone with interest and perseverance to put it all together. Hopefully, succeeding generations will maintain it with the same commitment you've made in developing it. Kind regards from "the colonies"! JDD
Wow, I am impressed. I was searching for my Great Grandfather on google a Mr Frederick Llewellyn Jepson and by chance I happened to get onto your web site. Not only did I find my great grandfather, but my grandfather Frederick Ernest Jepson and then my Dad Frederick Robson Jepson and his 6 siblings (all born in Easington, County Durham). Then to top the lot under the spouses my grandmother (who died before i was born) Clara Robson is also listed on your site and yes my Mother Janette Horton is on there too. What a delightful find. Thank you so much :-) if i can help with any of the details from this side of the family, please let me know! My Cousin did a lot of family tree stuff a few years back and all my fathers siblings are still alive and probably have a wealth of information.
kindest regards
