Greetings from your former colony!! Anna Gabel(Giebel), wife of Jonathon Hatt Deex, was the sister of my great grandmother Theresa Kramer(nee Giebel). All are buried here in Cleveland.

Alice Ellen Deeks 1865 - 1843 was my Great Grandmother. Nice to see a site dedicated to her family. Often as not people, like me, tracing their family history concentrate of the paternal side, it was nice to find out about the maternal side.

Duncan, you deserve a mountain of praise and thanks from Deekses (and others) all over the world for your extensive and painstaking work on this genealogy. The Internet may have made this kind of effort easier and more pervasive, but it still takes someone with interest and perseverance to put it all together. Hopefully, succeeding generations will maintain it with the same commitment you've made in developing it. Kind regards from "the colonies"! JDD

Wow, I am impressed. I was searching for my Great Grandfather on google a Mr Frederick Llewellyn Jepson and by chance I happened to get onto your web site. Not only did I find my great grandfather, but my grandfather Frederick Ernest Jepson and then my Dad Frederick Robson Jepson and his 6 siblings (all born in Easington, County Durham). Then to top the lot under the spouses my grandmother (who died before i was born) Clara Robson is also listed on your site and yes my Mother Janette Horton is on there too. What a delightful find. Thank you so much :-) if i can help with any of the details from this side of the family, please let me know! My Cousin did a lot of family tree stuff a few years back and all my fathers siblings are still alive and probably have a wealth of information.

kindest regards

I am researching the family of three Deeks, grandfather, father and son, who were organ builders with Henry Willis & Sons Ltd, all named Alfred. I am pretty sure that RIN3030 is the grandfather. RIN3836 is the middle Deeks, Alfred George son of Alfred E Deeks. RIN5349 is his son, also Alfred George Deeks. Both died at Petersfield Hampshire. I have a picture of both of them that I will post if you will let me know how.
